meet Joanne
• Joanne has proudly called the Sunshine Coast and Sechelt/Davis Bay home for the past 10 years. She is the mother of two children, Zoe (22) and Simon (20).
• Joanne cares deeply about her community, the people who live here, and the future of Sechelt. She takes pride in her work, community involvement, and helping the people surrounding her.
Why I Am Running
• We are building a vibrant Sechelt where every voice is heard and every neighbor is valued for their contribution.
• We are setting aside differences to focus on unified goals that bring positive progress to our beautiful town.
• We are creating a sustainable future where our local families and small businesses can grow and flourish together.
Priorities:
- Working with other elected council members on ways forward instead of getting caught up in personality conflicts
- Promoting better waterfront visibility and programming
- Prioritizing thoughtful community growth and a variety of housing types
- Protecting the viability of our small businesses
- Safeguarding our streets, particularly in the downtown core
- Strengthening our relationship with the Sechelt Nation
